The wait at BNIA (Buffalo Airport) wasn't too bad - except Mommy realized 10 minutes before the plane was boarding that she lost her inner layer to her winter coat..... needless to say, I bought one in Anchorage. Holden took a short nap on the first leg of the trip to Chicago. Once we landed, Kyle suggested we go to the play area to get rid of some energy and help with the 3 hr layover. Great idea!!! Holden loved the play area - it was an airplane, mission control station and a helicopter - all right up his alley. We then went to get some dinner and then head for the gate. When we got to the gate, Holden saw the Alaska Airline airplane and said " I got that one" we had bought him a plane on our trip last time. We played Go Fish (Thanks Mom-Mom & Diddy) and lined our planes up too. Finally, we boarded and had a hard time hooking in the car seat - by law, Holden got the window seat.
Take off was slow, O'Hare is a BIG airport and it was a long time taxing. Plus, the plane was BIG and it seemed like we would never get off the ground. Once in the air, Holden used his ipod and ate his other half of the blueberry muffin. Mommy had reserved the Digiplayer (Alaska Airline's dvd player with movies already loaded on it) I guess about 30 mins into Dispicable Me Holden wanted to go to bed. He slept the rest of the flight (about 5 hrs). When we landed - 10pm AK time, 2am Buffalo time, we all were awake and ready to get to the hotel. Finally in the room at 11:30pm AK time, and need I say - there was also day light savings time. Bed time was about midnight and Holden was ready to go at 4 am AK time. We gave him some toys to play with and headed out for breakfast at 7am - but 11am Holden time. Nap was at 8 am and that is all for the rest of the day.
